Breaking the “Rules”

Last week I did something that goes against all the business advice ever given. Six months ago I re-structured my business, created specific service offerings and declared to the world my new super-specialized status. Since then, I've played within the "rules", only accepting clients and projects that fit my definition and referring others to folks that could help. And now I've broken my "rule".

Taking Action is Hard to Do

Last Friday I had a call with my business coach. Our 10-minute laser session turned into a 20-minute call with me taking furious notes as she took a nebulous idea and solidified it. My job? Create a service-oriented product and then contact folks I've met personally or connected with on several levels and offer it to them. Gulp.
